WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is Ecosystem Restoration. Pakistan will act as global host of the day. World Environment Day 2021 will see the launch of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. Environment Day is observed on June 5. This day is celebrated to encourage awareness and environmental protection. According to United Nations, "The celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals, enterprises, and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment." World Environment Day is the UN’s most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Since it began in 1974, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.
Natural science option students conducted programme on June 4 th because today june 5 th is holiday. They named it as CHIPKO
They also conducted a Google meet with resource person his name is Mr Sudheeran K J . He take a presentation on the topic NAATARIVU . He shows so many plants , especially medicinal plants and talk about its use in life . That was a informative class.
The students of natural science plant a sapling in their surroundings they were accompanied by some kids from their neighborhood .
